There are many development projects in process in the universities of applied sciences. These projects are either local, regional or national. The projects are funded by the universities of applied sciences themselves, external founders or the Ministry of Education and Culture.

 

The common feature of the projects is that they focus on developing education and functions related to it. The projects help to build network for people working with the same issues and to spread good practices in order to develop education the universities of applied sciences. In the universities of applied sciences there is a strong spirit of doing things together and a genuine commitment to develop their operations.

 

The targets of the development projects concerning all the universities of applied sciences is to increase cooperation between the universities of applied sciences and to unite their development and research resources. In these projects one university of applied sciences is the coordinator and each project lasts for a three-year target agreement period at a time.
